ABOUT VSK

About VSK

Who runs Vietnamese Street Kitchen?

We're family-run and independent. My grandmother's recipes, passed down to my mother; we've been cooking them in Birmingham since 2018. Two restaurants now — Bullring at St Martin's Square, and Resorts World by the NEC. Same broth simmered overnight, same hands on the grill.

How long have you been open in Birmingham?

Family-run in Birmingham since 2018. We went full-service at Resorts World (B40 1PU) in 2019, then opened our Bullring flagship — St Martin's Square (B5 4BW), opposite Selfridges — in 2020. Both are owner-operated by the same family.

What is the difference between Bullring and Resorts World?

Same kitchen, two restaurants. Bullring is the flagship — St Martin's Square, in the heart of the city opposite Selfridges, a minute from the Bullring markets and about five from New Street. Resorts World, beside the NEC, is where we first went full-service — on-site parking and walking distance to the NEC and the bp pulse LIVE arena.

BOOKING & WALK-INS

Booking & walk-ins

How do I book a table?

Tap "Book a table" anywhere on this site — you'll pick a location, then complete the booking in a popup window. We use Stampede; bookings are confirmed instantly by email.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes — walk-ins are welcome at both locations, but tables aren't guaranteed at weekend peak (Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday brunch). Booking ahead is safer.

Can I book for a large group?

For a big group, online booking caps at 16 — for anything bigger, start an enquiry on our /celebrations page and someone from the restaurant comes straight back to you. Long-table layouts at Bullring, whole-room hire at Resorts World. Groups of 6+ confirm with a card authorisation (a hold, not a charge, to protect against no-shows).

THE MENU

The menu

What should I order if it is my first visit?

Start with summer rolls and Sesame Sweet Wings, then a Beef Combo Pho (steak, shin and brisket in the 25-hour broth) or Bun Cha Ha Noi (rice noodles, char-grilled pork and king prawn meatballs). Add a round of bao buns to share. Finish with Vietnamese iced coffee.

Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?

Yes — a dedicated Vegetarian & Vegan menu (/menu/vegetarian): Vegan Tofu Pho on a vegan broth, Tofu & Mushroom Bao, Tofu & Mushroom Summer Rolls, Vegetable Dumplings, plus our plant-based 'Not Chicken' dishes. Flag dietary needs at the table.

Is it kid-friendly?

Yes — high chairs available, plain rice and grilled chicken work for younger eaters, and most dishes can be made mild on request. Families are at every service.

DIETARY NEEDS

Dietary needs

I have a food allergy — can you help?

Tell our front-of-house team about any allergy or intolerance before you order and we'll guide you to suitable dishes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are flagged across the menu.

Are there gluten-free options?

Several — rice-noodle pho bowls, jasmine-rice mains, summer rolls (not the fried spring rolls), grilled meats with rice. We share a kitchen so cannot guarantee zero cross-contact; coeliacs please discuss with the team.

BULLRING LOCATION

Bullring location

Where is the Bullring restaurant?

3 St Martin's Square, Birmingham B5 4BW — in the Bullring, opposite Selfridges and beside St Martin's Church. A minute from the Bullring and the markets, about five from Grand Central / New Street station, about seven from the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Where can I park near the Bullring location?

The Bullring shopping-centre car park is closest — the St Martin's / Edgbaston Street entrance puts you a minute from us. Moor Street Queensway and the Pershore Street (Markets) car park are both within a few minutes.

Is it close to the Birmingham Hippodrome?

It's a short walk — about seven minutes down Hurst Street to the Hippodrome. We do pre-theatre service nightly; tell us your show start when you book and we'll pace the meal to land you in your seat on time.

RESORTS WORLD LOCATION

Resorts World location

Where is the Resorts World restaurant?

Resorts World, Pendigo Way, Birmingham B40 1PU — inside the Resorts World complex next to the NEC. Five minutes from the NEC halls and one minute from the bp pulse LIVE arena.

Is there parking at Resorts World?

Yes — there's a large multi-storey at Resorts World. Bring your ticket to the table and, with a £20+ spend, we validate it to £3.50 for up to 12 hours (standard £3.50 up to 2 hours, £18 for 2–12 hours). Pay at the machines before you leave.

Can I eat before an event at the NEC or the arena?

That's exactly what we're built for. Tell us the event start when you book and we'll pace the meal so you're in on time. We're five minutes from the NEC halls and a minute from bp pulse LIVE (the arena formerly called Genting Arena / Resorts World Arena).

Where can I eat near the NEC?

Vietnamese Street Kitchen is inside Resorts World, about five minutes over the bridge from the NEC halls (Pendigo Way, B40 1PU). Sit-down Vietnamese — pho, bun cha, bao buns, sharing plates — instead of exhibition-hall food. Book ahead during big shows; walk-ins welcome on quieter days.

Where can I eat before a concert at bp pulse LIVE?

We're a minute's walk from bp pulse LIVE (the NEC arena formerly known as Genting Arena and Resorts World Arena). Tell us the doors time when you book and we'll feed you and get you in before the support act. Cocktails and Vietnamese sharing platters make a good pre-gig table.

Is there a good restaurant near Birmingham Airport?

Yes — Vietnamese Street Kitchen at Resorts World is close to Birmingham Airport (BHX). The free AirRail Link connects the airport to Birmingham International station, and we're a short walk on from there. A proper meal before a flight or on a layover beats departures-lounge prices.

Where can I eat near Birmingham International station?

We're about a 10-minute covered walk from Birmingham International railway station, inside the Resorts World complex. Direct trains from Birmingham New Street take around 10 minutes. Handy for a meal before a show, after a meeting, or between connections.

Is there a restaurant in the Genting Hotel?

The Genting Hotel is part of the Resorts World complex, and Vietnamese Street Kitchen is in the same building — so you can have a family-run Vietnamese dinner without stepping outside. Great if you're staying over for an NEC event or an arena show.

Where can I eat near the NEC hotels?

Staying at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC, Premier Inn or the Arden Hotel? We're a 5–15 minute walk or a two-minute taxi — a sit-down Vietnamese dinner instead of the hotel buffet, with on-site parking (validated with spend) if you drive.

Is there somewhere for a business lunch near Birmingham Business Park?

Yes — we're about a 15-minute walk from Birmingham Business Park and the Bickenhill / NEC business parks. We handle client lunches and after-work dinners that don't taste like a chain, with on-site parking. Bigger groups can book a long table or whole-room hire — see the celebrations page.

Is there a Vietnamese restaurant in Solihull?

Vietnamese Street Kitchen at Resorts World sits in the Solihull borough, out at the B40 / Bickenhill end by the NEC. If you want family-run Vietnamese in Solihull beyond the town-centre chains — pho, bun cha, bao, big bowls — this is it, with parking on the door.

BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH

Bottomless brunch

When is bottomless brunch?

Sunday to Thursday at both restaurants, Bullring and Resorts World, in a 90-minute slot. Bookings from 12pm; on arena or NEC event days, brunch isn't available after 4pm. Confirm your slot at least 24 hours ahead so we can pace the bar.

How much is bottomless brunch?

£32.99 per person — includes 90 minutes of unlimited cocktails, beer or fizz, plus one Vietnamese sharing platter and a free side each. Extra sides £2 each.

Is brunch over-18s only?

Yes — 18+ only, ID required. Drink-with-food licensing rule, minimum two guests per booking.

CELEBRATIONS & PRIVATE HIRE

Celebrations & private hire

Can I hire the whole restaurant?

Resorts World can be hired exclusively for whole-room bookings. Bullring has long-table options for groups of 12-40 without closing the room. Start an enquiry on our /celebrations page and we'll come back to you.

Do you do set menus for groups?

We don't run fixed set menus — your group orders à la carte from the full Vietnamese menu. Tell us the headcount and any allergies when you book and we'll help you plan a sharing spread. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-aware options run across the menu.

GETTING THERE

Getting there

How do I get there by public transport?

Bullring: New Street / Grand Central station (5 min walk), all city bus routes via Moor St. Resorts World: Birmingham International station (10 min walk via the covered walkway), or X1 / 900 / 966 bus from the city.
